African Seed and Biotechnology Programme

This report covers the programme of the African Seed and Biotechnology Programme to address food security. Food security is dependent upon the development of a seed sector on the continental, regional, and national levels. The Assembly of the African Union (AU) met on July 5th 2005 to discuss the importance of improved seeds to increase agriculture productivity to address food security.
