ISSD in Africa: Conceptual Framework for Creating Cohernence between Pratcies, Programmes, and Policies

This paper outlines ISSD as a useful conceptual framework for creating coherence among seed practices, programs and policies. The focus of the paper is on sub-Saharan Africa, and addresses the variation and practices in the informal and formal seed sector systems. Each system has its own limitations and structure. Individual farmers utilize both systems to receive different crops depending on the farmers’ need and crop accessibility.
